ZoomTown Broadband
ZoomTown broadband service is provided by Cincinnati Bell and uses ADSL technology.
With speeds up to 3Mbps, the ZoomTown service is 100 times faster than traditional dial-up.
With ZoomTown, you can choose your own ISP from the affiliated ISPs. The last time I checked, there were 10 affiliated ISPs:
- 3z.net
- Iglou Internet Services
- Nuvox
- Supernet of Ohio
- Exodus Online Services
- Internet Access Cincinnati
- Speedspan.com
- New Edge Networks
- Cincinnati Bell: Fuse.net
- ISOC.net
With the subscription, you get free anti-spam and anti-virus software (plus a free trial to Rhapsody internet music subscription service).
Available ZoomTown Broadband Options
There are four different packages for different user groups of ADSL. The basic division is between home users and business users.
All the options have up to 3Mbps download and up to 768 Kbps upload transfer rates.
The options are:
- ZoomTown with Fuse Internet Access
- ZoomTown Home Office with Fuse Internet Access (includes 1 static IP Address)
- ZoomTown With Participating ISP
- ZoomTown Home Office with Participating ISP (includes 1 static IP Address)
With ZoomTown high-speed internet access, there's no charge for equipment, activation or self installation fees (professional installation will cost extra).
In addition to the ZoomTown service, Cincinnati Bell offers Fuse dial-up service and wireless wi-fi at hot spot locations in and around Cincinnati.
