Yahoo broadband service is offered in co-operation with SBC, the biggest DSL provider in the nation.

The two companies have been doing co-operation since 2001 and expanded that co-operation in 2002 to include selling high-speed DSL Internet services.

In this co-operation, Yahoo! offers its security and parental controls, a personalized browser, and other Yahoo! features, including the high-quality Yahoo! content.

By many measures, Yahoo! is the no.1 Internet brand globally, and SBC is the nation's number one DSL provider (Verizon is no.2).

The main competition in terms of services for Yahoo! is the AOL for Broadband service, which also has millions of customers. The AOL for Broadband package contains much of the same features that you find with the Yahoo! package.

• Up to 384 Kbps downstream/128 Kbps upstream

• SBC Yahoo! DSL Express-S package
• 384Kbps-1.5Mbps downstream/128Kbps upstream
• Monthly fee: $64.95 (one year contract), $64.95 (month-to-month contract)

  Express Package gives you the same benefits and customization as the Starter Package but at faster speeds.

• SBC Yahoo! DSL Pro package
• 1.5Mbps-3.0Mbps downstream/384Kbps upstream
• Monthly fee: $74.99 (one year contract), $74.99 (month-to-month contract)

• SBC Yahoo! DSL Symmetric-S package
• 384-416 Kbps downstream/384-416 Kbps upstream
• Monthly fee: $$89.99(one year contract), $119.95 (month-to-month contract)

  Symmetric-S Package offers two-way, high-speed Internet service with five static IPs, and is designed for small- and medium-size businesses with big-business needs.
