World’s Smallest Marine Satellite TV Announced

KVH Industries said has announced that the company has created the world's smallest stabilized marine satellite TV system. The new satellite TV system, the TracVision M3, can be used in boats as small as 25 ft, according to the company news release.

The difference to the existing marine satellite TV products is that they have had antennas that have been too big for vessels in the 25-to-40-foot range.

According to the company, M3's efficient, 14.5" antenna offers rugged design, precision tracking, and coverage range comparable to the larger 18" antennas.

The TracVision M3 is fully automatic, with the ability to connect you to more than 300 channels of DIRECTV programming, including 50+ channels of XM satellite radio music, when cruising along the coast and as far as 200 miles offshore.
