Verizon Wireless Broadband Internet

Verizon wireless broadband internet is available on a nationwide basis according to the coverage maps from the company.

For the wireless broadband network from Verizon, the average download speeds are around 600 Kbps to 1.4 Mbps and average upload speeds of 500 Kbps to 800 Kbps.

These measures for the BroadbandAccess plan are based on their network tests with 5 MB FTP data files without compression, but actual speeds and coverage may vary.

If you're unsure if you can get the Verizon Wireless broadband plan, you can take a look at the Verizon Wireless Broadband Coverage Map .

The plans have monthly allowance for how much data you can download, and as of June 2008, the two plans available allow either 50 MB or data, or 5 GB of data to be transferred.

The benefit from Verizon Wireless broadband is that you can connect with your Mac or PC wherever you are on the Verizon Wireless Network, even if there are no Wi-Fi or wired networks around.
