Verizon Broadband Internet
Verizon broadband internet comes, as of June 2008, in two packages, Starter and Power. That is, for the DSL side of their broadband business.
They also offer wireless broadband in their cell phone division. Of the packages, the Starter annual package offers broadband speeds of up to 768 Kbps/128 Kbps for $19.99/mo. (months 2-12) and the modem you need to access the service is included in the price. For Power annual package, you get up to 3 Mbps/768 Kbps, for $29.99/mo. (months 2-12), and a wireless router is included in the price. If you would like to save money on your services purchased from Verizon, you can purchase a service bundle, which can bundle together broadband, cell phone, and landline phone services for one monthly bill. The idea behind these packages is that you can get the bundle at a lower monthly cost than what you would pay if you purchased them individually, including the broadband service. You can also participate in the next generation fiber optic service that has even faster download/upload speeds with the Verizon FiOS service. FiOS connects your home directly to a blazing fast, superior fiber-optic network. The starting price for such a package, as of June 2008, is at $42.99/mo.
