TiVo DVD Recorders
In addition to the traditional TiVo DVD Recorders that record to a hard drive, there are also DVD recorders from other manufacturers with TiVo interface.
TiVo's Series2 DVR delivers great recording capacity at a low cost and the device is enabled for future entertainment services. TiVo DVRs record television programming to a hard drive. Also, TiVo’s have been getting smaller and smaller, making these slim devices easy to integrate into the home entertainment system. The TiVo DVR Series2 recorders are compatible with virtually every television available out there. The device also works with VCRs, TV antennas, cable systems, and satellite systems. The TiVo has USB ports, offering ready connectivity with peripheral devices like digital cameras, MP3 players, and CD players. This connectivity also gives TiVo subscribers access to various exciting entertainment services like Internet radio broadband video on demand. TiVo DVD Recorders – Other Manufacturers TiVo expertise in DVR technology and user-interface design has produced some co-operative efforts to integrate leading DVD recording technology and TiVo system. For example, Pioneer has produced models that incorporate the best bits from Pioneer’s and TiVo’s expertise. Of the Panasonic DVD recorders, at least Pioneer Elite DVR-57H and DVR-810H have this ability. Of these, the Pioneer DVR-810H records to a hard drive (80GB) or to a DVD-R disc. It has high-speed dubbing from HDD to DVD-R and comes with a free TiVo basic programming guide, and many more great features.
