T-Mobile Cellular Phones

T-Mobile cellular phones are direct sold by the company in two different categories: standard phones and t-zone phones.

The main difference between these two categories is that t-zone phones are optimized for fun and productivity features, while standard phones are optimized for talking.

However, features vary much by phone model, so all the marketed features of t-zones may not work on your cell phone. Therefore, it is advisable to check which features are guaranteed to work on your particular cell phone before purchase.

T-Mobile Cellular Phones – Standard Phones

Because T-Mobile uses GSM network, many of the standard phones are also WorldClass type of international phones (dual-band or tri-band phones: 900, 1800 and 1900 MHz), and you can use them on countries with GSM network (the most widely used network type in the world. You can check the countries at gsmworld.com/roaming/gsminfo/index.shtml).

T-Mobile lists the following features in most standard phones:

Alerts

Ringtones

Wallpapers, screensavers

Text messaging

AOL Instant Messenger service (AIM)

However, not all standard T-Mobile cellular phones support these features, so do check which ones your particular phone has the ability to use.

T-Mobile Cellular Phones – T-Zones

The T-Mobile T-Zones service is the company’s answer to the customer demand for fun services to mobile phones.

However, these are advanced services, and you’ll need an advanced handset that can use these features. T-Mobile lists the following list of features for the t-zones capable phones (not all are available in all phone models):

Alerts

Polyphonic ringtones (T-Mobile calls them MegaTones)

Wallpapers, screensavers

Caller ID pictures

Gaming

Text messaging

AOL Instant Messenger service (AIM)

Enhanced messaging, including photos

T-zones mobile web

Email from your phone

T-Mobile cellular phones, both the standard and t-zone phones, are manufactured by the biggest companies that manufacture handsets for GSM networks.
