Sylvania DVD recorders are actually manufactured by Funai Corporation, under license from OSRAM Sylvania Inc. (a Siemens company).

OSRAM Sylvania has a history of over 100 years in the consumer lightning products business, and it is a very well known brand.

That brand recognition is used under license by Funai Corporation of Japan, whose other well-known brands include Symphonic, Funai, and Emerson.

As for product design, Funai has stated that they aim to deliver a synergy of form and function, with products designed to be both beautiful and practical.

Sylvania DVR90DE

The Sylvania DVR90DE DVD recorder lets you record your favorite television shows or home videos to DVD-R (write-once) and DVD-RW (rewriteable) discs.

Other features include a built-in NTSC TV tuner, onscreen user interface that permits up to eight timer recordings over a one-year period, plus six DVD recording speeds.

Sylvania DVR90VE

This combination Sylvania recordable DVD player and VCR lets you copy VHS tapes to DVD and DVDs to VHS tapes at the touch of a button.

Other features include built-in NTSC TV tuner, six DVD recording speeds, and user-friendly editing functions including auto playlist creation, project titling, title editing and deletion, and scene deletion.
