Many manufacturers have student computer discount offers. Some of these offers are available only through official channels from your school, while others are available from the retailer given that you show proof of enrolment in an educational institution.

Also, not all institutions are accepted into these student discount programs, so always check whether restrictions apply. In many cases, only institutions of higher education (such as universities) are the main focus of these student discount programs.

Student Computer Discount Program – Dell, Hewlett Packard & Apple

Dell’s student discount program is aimed at institutions of higher education. If you belong to one of the eligible institutions, you may purchase available Dell laptops (and other Dell equipment).

The available HP student discounts (available for higher education) can be viewed by state and college on the online service at hp.com. HP offers similar discounts to both students and faculty.

Apple, meanwhile, has a specific store for education. The store offers desktop and notebook computers at special prices for education. There are discounts available for both college/university students, as well as for students in K-12 schools.
