Starbucks South Korea Locations to Get Wi-Fi

Korean Starbucks will add Wi-Fi to all their 137 locations in the country.

The wireless internet connections to the Starbucks locations will be installed by KT, South Korea’s leading broadband Internet service provider.

The wireless connections will be installed rapidly, as KT will get the service going at all of the 137 Starbucks coffee shops by the end of this October 2005.

KT is a strong force in both wireless and wired in South Korea. In fact, KT accounts for more than half of the country’s fixed-line broadband Internet users with about 6 million customers.

KT's wireless Internet reach was over 500,000 users in August, 2005.
