Sony Mavica Digital Cameras
Sony Mavica digital cameras distinguishing feature is the ability to shoot, share, and save all in one step with click to burn CD recordable media.
With the Mavica series Sony digital cameras, the sharing of images becomes simple: you simply remove the CD from the camera and use it in any PC CD drive for viewing, editing, and sharing the pictures. Recording directly to a CD media has other benefits in addition to the easy transport and cheapness of CD-RW discs. For example, there's the capacity that allows you to record images with your Mavica up to the limit that the CD can hold, which can be as much as 1,200 still images at VGA resolution or over 120 images at JPEG resolution. Also, in the Video Mail mode, you can record up to 90 minutes of video with your camera to the CD. There's also a Sony Mavica, the MVC-FD200, that records onto a floppy disc & Memory Stick media instead of a CD-RW disc.
