Sky Satellite TV

Sky satellite TV is offered in the UK and Ireland from BskyB Corporation. The Sky Digital satellite TV direct-to-home service started back in 1989.

The current company behind the service is a result of a corporate merger between Sky Television and British Satellite Broadcasting.

There is also Sky+ digital satellite service, which is a product of the latest digital development stage of satellite TV.

Digital satellite delivers over 500 TV and audio channels and interactive services, digital quality pictures, as well as sound.

In addition, you can subscribe to Sky Active, which has been offering interactive TV services since August 1999.

These Sky Active, interactive services range from email and messaging through to shopping, banking, betting and games that viewers can access by pressing the red button whilst still watching their favorite Sky channel.
