Satellite TV Services

In addition to regular Satellite TV services, there are also add-on services, such as satellite radio services and satellite Internet access available. However, regular TV channel services are still what the satellite services are mostly about.

There are now more satellite TV operators and channels available than ever.

There are lots of programming for all types of tastes and preferences.

For example, sports coverage is available for all of the major sports as well as many minor sports.

Also, foreign language programming, many of them from foreign countries ensures that language minorities are well served with satellite TV programming.

For the U.S., there are two main providers for satellite TV: DirecTV and Dish Network.

Both providers use the DSS satellite video delivery system. Equipment for these systems is available from RCA, Hughes, Philips, Sony and Samsung.

Additional Satellite TV Services

One of the increasingly popular additional services for satellite are different types of Internet satellite services.

In the U.S., these services are provided by two main providers: Starband and Direcway.

Also, in addition to the many satellite TV channels, there are also radio channels within the satellite stream.

For example, Sirius Satellite Radio offers over 110 streams of satellite radio.

In addition to the services that are available for subscription, there are free satellite TV channels, which are unscrambled satellite channels available for all.

You can also think about the TV offerings that are available through broadband, as many of them overlap the channels available through satellite TV.
