RCA DVD Recorders

RCA DVD recorders offer hard drive recording flexibility and wide range of other features. RCA, a Thomson company, offers, in addition to recorders, players and other DVD related products.

Thomson, the European parent company of RCA, provides a line of portable, multiple, and recordable DVD players under the Thomson and RCA brands.

RCA recorders are offered under the Scenium sub-brand. The Scenium brand products offer innovative features at affordable prices.

In addition to the DVRs, DVD recorders from RCA include DVD+R/+RW format recording capability, as the company is a member in the DVD+RW Alliance.

RCA DVD Recorders Features

The RCA Scenium Digital Media Recorder, DRS7000N, was the first combination progressive scan DVD player and hard drive recorder combo.

The hard drive feature allows you to record up to 30+ hours of program. Another great feature is the no-fee GUIDE Plus+ Gold interactive TV guide. The no-fee TV guide feature has been an attractive unique selling proposal for people who don’t like the fees for similar services with other companies.

If you like DVD recorder / VCR combos, there's the DRC8300N. It allows you to easily transfer home videos from a VHS tape directly onto a DVD and vice versa.

Another great feature is the SmartRecord, which automatically adjusts the quality of the recording (there are 6 recording modes) to fit the available disc space.

Also, Scene Again gives you instant replay access to previously viewed DVD or tape segments in 10-second increments, and there's a 30-second advance function, which allows you to skip ahead to preferred scenes on DVDs or tape.
