Public Computers Popular

Despite the current cheap prices for computers and the high rate of computers at homes, there still exists a need for public computers, available at libraries, for example.

In addition to computers in libraries, businesses such as Kinko's and thousands of Internet cafes are getting a constant customer flow, despite predictions that in the era of laptops and computers at homes, these businesses would not flourish.

The benefits that these public computer access points are various.

For public libraries, it's the location and the price. You get to surf for free, plus you have thousands of other sources for information (books) around you.

As for the Internet cafes, they've expanded either expanded their business model, or concentrated on some of the niches on the industry (such as providing services solely for net gaming enthusiasts).

And Kinko's, as you probably know from their advertising, is aiming to be your "office away from office".
