New Cell Phone Viruses Surface

One of the pioneers in cell phone virus antimeasures, F-Prot from Finland, has recently profiled a new type of cell phone virus threat, dubbed "Mabir.A".

The new virus type notices text messages that arrive on the infected phone. When the virus detects an incoming message, it sends itself out as a reply.

If your cell phone is infected, F-Secure has already provided instructions on how to get rid of the mobile phone virus from your phone.

As cell phones become more like computers, the number of viruses available will increase rapidly.

This new type of virus adds to the variety of detected viruses for mobile phones, as most of the "traditional" wireless phone viruses use bluetooth to spread the virus.
