NEC Laptops

NEC laptops are aimed for larger businesses. In fact, the company wants to be the sole supplier of “connected enterprise” solutions for these companies.

The “connected enterprise” concept includes high-speed optical communications, systems integration, enterprise-class hardware (including laptops) and e-commerce software.

To better provide these services, NEC, in 2002, combined three different subsidiaries (NEC Technologies, NEC Systems, and NEC Computers) into one unit, NEC Solutions America.

The biggest customers for NEC's line of laptops have been in healthcare, field sales and other professional services.

Many of these customers are opting for the NEC Tablet PCs, which provide ideal pen-based, lightweight portable capabilities.
