It's possible to mix your own MP3 ringtones for the V400 with such audio tools as Traktor MP3 DJ software. However, the ringer creation process is somewhat easier for polyphonic ringtones. If you'd like to make your own polyphonic mixes for V400, you can use Motorola's online MotoMixer unit, available at the Motorola.com web site. That Motorola service also has MP3 ringers available for downloading. The download service is operated in co-operation with Handango, at motorola.handango.com. For the V400, the service works in Cingular's network. Other Services for Motorola V400 MP3 Ringtones Because the standard used for the V400 ringing tones is the universal MP3, you can find lots of ready-made content out there in addition to the official Motorola ringtone service. One way to download additional MP3 ringtone content is to first download the ringers to your desktop, then to your cell phone. In fact, you don't have to download MP3 ringers from the web in the first place. Instead, you can use audio editors such as Ringtone Ripper (a free download) to make MP3 ringers out of any CD track and MP song that you have. Additionally, you can download snippets of MP3 music available in the thousands from the web, mostly as preview MP3s of CD tracks sold in online music stores.
