Motorola iRadio Service to be Announced

Motorola is planning to launch a service called iRadio, which will allow you to download audio programming to your PC, then to your Motorola cell phone, and finally, listen to the programming from your car stereo.

The service banks on the success of iPod, and how people have become accustomed to downloading content from their computers to portable devices.

As many people spend even hours in their cars every day, choosing which content you can listen in the car is an important issue, and has been one of the reasons why satellite radio has become so successful so quickly.

The Motorola iRadio service, in the initial phases, will allow you to download 10 hours of content at a time, and will cost you about $5 to $7 a month.

When not used in-car, you can listen to the audio content stored in the cell phone with a headset.
