Laptop Parts

To upgrade your laptop or to build one from scratch, different kinds of laptop parts are needed to do the job.

However, although many dream of building a laptop similarly to building a desktop, most find the problems too large and obstacles too many to actually do it.

Unlike building a desktop from a barebones kit, building a laptop is far more complicated.

However, many do upgrade and improve their notebooks with available new and cheap used computer parts.

In fact, some of the best places to find notebook parts is from used computer shops that sell spare parts to their customers.

Finding Best Deals on Laptop Parts

Not surprisingly, the quickest way to start finding the best deals on notebook parts is from comparison shopping engines.

Not all are as easy to navigate as others.

One of the easiest is a site called PriceWatch.com, which also allows you to browse used parts from their reseller database (look up the Refurb/Open Box Deals section).

The user interface is an easy to use text based version and contains an accurate search function.

Another great tool to find parts for laptops is PartSolver.com that has over 7 million parts and accessories in their database. However, most of the parts are new, but you'll also find remanufactured, or refurbished parts in the computer category.
