Kodak Digital Cameras

Kodak digital cameras are sold under the EasyShare brand. According to Kodak, the EasyShare system is the simplest way to shoot, print, and share digital pictures.

For taking pictures, the EasyShare system cameras have been the Kodak easy-to-use design and KODAK Color Science Technology, high-quality lenses.

Once you've taken the pictures, you can start sharing your art by placing the camera in EasyShare dock and transfer the images with one button touch.

The dock handles the transfer and recharges your camera.

Finally, there is EasyShare software to making sharing the pictures even more easy and convenient.

Whether it's emailing pictures, printing them at home, or using an online service provider to have prints delivered right to your door, the EasyShare Kodak software can help.

Kodak Digital Cameras Outlook

Kodak cameras in the digital camera market were for a long time regarded as a pure low-cost alternative.

A strategy change towards a higher quality has been in place for several years now, however, and is starting to pay off.

As an example of that, J.D. Power and Associates ranked Kodak EasyShare Digital Cameras "Highest in Customer Satisfaction in the $200-$399 and the $400-$599 price ranges."

The study was based on 4,260 responses from consumers who purchased a digital camera between November, 2003 and June, 2004.

Kodak has also invested in digital imaging technology covering everything from camera displays to retail printing services.

This strategy has been so successful, in fact, that IDC's research on digital camera markets found Kodak and Sony neck-and-neck for the lead in U.S. digital camera sales for the third-quarter of 2004 (Canon was third, followed by Olympus in fourth place).

Historically, Sony has had a clear lead in U.S. digital camera sales, but the situation is moving very much in Kodak's favor.
