Intel Broadband Speed Test

Intel broadband speed test is located at the intel.com website.

The test from Intel is aimed at providing a method of comparing the different speeds of download via different methods, primarily dial-up vs broadband Internet access.

The test is located at

intel.com/consumer/game/broadband-speed-test.htm

The test gives the download speed for your connection at the time of your test, which can be affected by several factors, such as distance to the test server, other downloads you may have in the background, and overall server load at the time of the test.

In addition to the test, the page also contains a "Download Calculator".

With it, you can enter a file size to find out how long it will take to download and get the answer for many different types of connections, including dial up, ISDN, and DSL.
