AT&T Wireless Internet
The wireless data plans from AT&T are sold under DataConnect service label. The monthly cost for the plan (March 2008) is $60 per month. It also gives AT&T the advantage of offering simultaneous voice and data services. That means you can talk and use the Internet at the same time. AT&T's 3G wireless broadband data network is available at least in most major metropolitan areas. They are, however, working to expand the network. Verizon Wireless Internet
The Verizon broadband for wireless access is called BroadbandAccess and the available wireless network covers more then 240 million people in 248 major metropolitan areas and 232 primary airports in the United States, so you can keep working even when you’re on the go. The BroadbandAccess technology is based on something called Evolution Data Optimized (EV-DO) network and in fact has been enhanced with EV-DO Rev. Typical download speeds for the broadband over wireless achieve 600 Kbps to 1.4 Mbps and uploads 500-800 Kbps. Sprint Wireless Internet
The Sprint wireless broadband offering is called Sprint Mobile Broadband and can use PC broadband cards and USB modems. There are two types of plans available for the data (March 2008): one for $39.99 that has download limit of 40 MB before additional fees kick in, and another for $59.99 which has unlimited data downloads.
