Free Verizon MP3 Ringtones

You can use the Verizon transflash card to copy free Verizon MP3 ringtones from your desktop to the cell phone.

The reason why you may be forced to use the transflash card (using the shared/ringtones folder) to move the ringtones from desktop to your cell phone, is that the free ringers are normally not available as over the air downloads.

Instead, you have to use right mouse click and "save as" combination to save the free Verizon ringing tones from the web to your desktop.

Then, as many Get It Now phones support MP3 ringtones, you can simply use the transflash card to move the ringers to your phone.

If transflash card is not an option for you, you can also send the ringers to yourself with the vzwpix.com service.

Reportedly, however, you have to change the extension to MIDI file in order to get the files though the mail server, but this information is unconfirmed as of now.

And there is always the option of using cables and phone manager software to upload the free Verizon ringers, if everything else fails.

Available Free Verizon MP3 Ringtones

To get your hands on free MP3 ring tone content, see such free-of-charge services as mobileplayground.co.uk and nextpimp.com.

One website with an real treasure of 30 second MP3 songs is located at walmart.com.

The store uses MP3s as preview files for tracks on CDs they sell (don't go to the music downloads section for the preview MP3s, however).

These preview MP3s also make for great Verizon MP3 ringers. They're 30 seconds in length, and the file size is about 235 KB.

You should be able to shrink the file size by using audio editors to reduce the bit rate (this will lower sound quality) and by changing the file to mono format.

This way, you'll be able to fit more ringers to your Verizon phone.

Making Your Own Free Verizon MP3 Ringtones

If you don't find a suitable MP3 ringtone from the above resources, you can take comfort in the fact that you can easily make a MP3 ringer out of any CD track or MP3 song that you have in your collection.

To achieve this, you need to use some of the available audio editors to do the job.

One software package, Ringtone Ripper, aims to be the last editor you're ever going to need for making your own MP3 ringtones.

That software automates much of the process you would need to do when using ordinary audio editors for MP3 to make ringers.

With the Ringtone Ripper, the end result will be a 20-second professional sounding MP3 ringtone, out of any MP3 or CD track that you have.
