Free Sprint Ringer Tones

Free Sprint ringer tones are mostly available in MP3 format as most Sprint Vision phones reportedly support MP3 ringtones.

Because the MP3 standard is universal (same MP3 ringers should work on Nextel, Cingular, Sprint, etc. phones), you can use resources that are primarily marketed for subscribers of other cellular networks.

However, if there is a need to send the ringers over the air, there usually are restrictions for downloads between networks.

In fact, most free Sprint ringtone downloads are not over the air, but rather first to your desktop, then to the cell phone.

Free Sprint Ringer Tones - Free Downloads

To get MP3 ringers to your phone, you can use some of the available free download sites.

Some of these sites offer the ability for visitors to download their own MP3s to the database (in peer-to-peer fashion), which are then available for all visitors to download.

One such website is located at nextpimp.com. Although this site is primarily for Nextel phones, the ringers are in MP3 format, so they can (should be able to) be used in any MP3 ringing tone capable phone out there.

Another website with True Tones is mobileplayground.co.uk. As is the case with NextPimp.com, these are MP3 ringers downloadable first to the desktop, then to the cell phone.

Free Sprint Ringer Tones - Additional Resources

Nowadays, many make their own ringtones from any track on their CD collection or from full-length MP3 songs.

To make yours, you need audio editing tools that let you cut the MP3s to smaller sized clips, of about 30 seconds.

You don't really need longer MP3 ringers than that, as the calls are usually transferred to voice mail after 30-40 seconds of unanswered ringing.

Audio tools to make your own ringtones include Audacity and Ringtone Ripper, both of which are free downloads.

The Ringtone Ripper automates much of the editing process, and results in professional quality 20 second MP3 ringtones.

If you would like to save some of the trouble concerning clipping the MP3s, you can find ready-made 30 second MP3 preview files from, for example, Walmart Music store.

These are actually previews of the CD tracks, but also make great Sprint MP3 ringing tones (don't go to the music downloads section for the MP3 previews, however).

The preview files are 30 second long clips, 235 KB in size, and have been recorded in 64 kbps. You may not have to edit them, but if you need a smaller file size, reducing bit rate should help.

Finally, you need to upload the ringers from the desktop to your cell phone. If you have cables, you should easily get the transfer done with some of the available phone management software packages.

Other methods that you can try out include sending the file via Bluetooth or as an e-mail attachment to your cell phone's e-mail address.
