Free Motorola HiFi Ringtones Free Motorola HiFi ringtones are available as polyphonic ringers, MP3 ringers, and as Motorola WAV ringtones.
Free ringers are a great addition to the many commercial HiFi ringtone services out there. One of the best known HiFi ringing tone services was launched for the Valentines Day celebration in 2004 by T-Mobile. The T-Mobile HiFi ringing tunes are the next generation of ringtones that use original song clips. T-Mobile partnered (in February 2004) with Sony to bring T-Mobile exclusive HiFi ringer content from top Sony Music artists such as Beyonce, Jessica Simpson, John Mayer, Incubus, and Nas. The T-Mobile service supports at least the Motorola V300 cell phone model. The Motorola cellular phones that support either MP3 or WAV format HiFi ringtones include: Motorola A630 Supports polyphonic & Motorola MP3 ringing tones Available from T-Mobile Motorola C650 Has support for MP3 ringtones and includes a built-in MotoMixer unit (for making your own mixes of polyphonic Motorola ringers) Available from T-Mobile Motorola MPx200 Support for both MP3 and Motorola WAV ringtones Available from Cingular/AT&T Wireless Motorola MPx220 Support for both MP3 and Motorola WAV ringtones Available from Cingular Motorola V3 Has both polyphonic ringers & support for MP3 ringing tones, as well as a MotoMixer unit Available from Cingular Motorola V180 Supports Motorola MP3 ringtones and has a MotoMixer unit Available from AT&T Wireless/Cingular and T-Mobile Motorola V220 Has both MP3 and polyphonic ringtones Available from AT&T Wireless/Cingular Motorola V265 The V265 has support for Motorola MIDI ringers, as well as polyphonic and MP3 ringtones Available from Verizon Wireless Motorola V505 Support for MP3 and polyphonic ringtones, and a MotoMixer remixable Motorola ring tones unit Available from AT&T Wireless/Cingular Motorola V551 MP3 and polyphonic ring tones Available from Cingular Motorola V600 Supports MIDI and Motorola MP3 ringtones Available from AT&T Wireless/Cingular and T-Mobile Motorola V710 Has polyphonic and MP3 ringer support Available from Verizon Wireless Downloading Free Motorola HiFi Ringtones Because the MP3 and WAV standards are universally supported in the audio industry, you can find several sources for free Motorola HiFi ringtones content. One of the best of the free websites to find suitable sized MP3 audio files is the Walmart Music Store that has thousands of MP3 files available. These audio files are actually MP3 previews of CD tracks, but they also make great MP3 ringers (don't go to the music downloads section for the previews, however). To download these free Motorola HiFi ringtones, simply use right click and Save Target As to copy the ringer to your desktop. You may need to edit these free HiFi ringtones to bring down the file size from the typical 235 KB. Then, you have to transfer the file to your Motorola phone with either Bluetooth connection, with cables, or infrared, and phone manager software, such as Motorola Mobile Phone Tools from BVRP Software. Other resources for free ringers in MP3 and WAV format include nextpimp.com, which is meant primarily for Nextel customers, and mobileplayground.co.uk, which allows you to save the MP3 ringers to your desktop. For WAV sound clips, you can find them pre-made from several sources, including wavcentral.com. Making Your Own Free Motorola HiFi Ringtones You can also easily make your own Motorola HiFi ring tones. Making either MP3 or WAV ringers is a lot easier than it used to be with monotonic, “beeb" ringers, where you had to type in the notes, pauses, and octaves by hand. To make the HiFi ringers by yourself, you need to use audio editors to cut suitable clips, of about 30 seconds max, from your favorite MP3 songs as ringing tones. The length depends not only on what your cell phone can handle memory-wise, but also on the fact that the call will usually be transferred to voicemail after 30-40 seconds of unanswered ringing. These MP3 ringers may need to be edited, in order for you to be able to use them. Typically, you can cut the size of the file by changing the bit rate to e.g. 64Kbps. Also, changing the song into mono might help it being able to play on your cell phone. There are several tools to make the conversions and editing. For one, there is Audacity, a free download. You can also use a (free) tool that automates much of the task in formatting the free Motorola HiFi ringtones. The tool is called Ringtone Ripper, and makes 20 second MP3 ringing tones out of your personal collection of songs in CDs and MP3 files.
