Free Keypress Nokia Ringtones

Free keypress Nokia ringtones are found as RTTL (Ringtone Text Transfer Language), keypress, and composer format ringers.

There are many resources that offer keypress format ringers as free instructions. Your job is to either key-in these instructions to the composer unit or a converter unit which then translates the sequence into acceptable format.

Although using keypress ringtones is a fast way to update the phone's ringer, the prices for commercial ringtones has plummeted so low that using much of your time for all the composition work may not be worth your while if you change the ringer only few and far between.

In addition, many of the keypress ringers do not sound good, and they haven't usually been composed for the cell phone by music professionals.

Free Keypress Ringtones - Resources

Most of the keypress ringers for Nokia are monotonic, meaning they emulate the original sounds with sequences of monotonic cell phone beebs.

In comparison, most of the free polyphonic Nokia ringers are available from the web in MIDI format, not as some keypress sequences that you'd key-in to a Nokia composer unit.

For real music ringtones (MP3/WAV), you cant use keypress ringer composers.

Most of the free resources, such as cellphones.about.com, offer the instructions for keypress ringers as printable manuals. However, some have the capability to send the keypress sequences directly to your cell phone in SMS format.
