Florida Internet Dating to Be Regulated?

In an effort to minimize the negatives associated with online dating services, it now seems that Florida will start regulating online dating sites more than they do now. The new legislation that may be introduced may force online dating sites to tell paying visitors whether they perform criminal background checks on their members.

As many paying members may find that checking such background information is in fact a good idea to prevent Internet dating crimes, this legislation will likely make those sites not currently doing such background checks to start doing them.

It has been reported that similar type of legislation is under consideration at the states of California, Ohio, Virginia, Michigan and Texas.
