DVD Magazines

DVD magazines can be an important information source for getting information on the best DVD recorders and for keeping up to date with the latest developments.

Some of the best information on DVD players and recorders is included in the magazines that cover a wider range of topics than just DVDs. These quality magazines include such publications as Sound & Vision, Home Theater magazine, and others.

The list of magazines with DVD specific focus is growing monthly. Many of these magazines are made for DVD market professionals, not for home DVD users.

The first sign that a magazine is aimed at professionals is the subscription price, which can be well over a thousand dollars for a yearly subscription, easily affordable for professionals (as their employers pay the bill).

Available DVD Magazines

Most of the DVD magazines out there are based on reviews of released DVD titles, not on the DVD players themselves. However, there are several magazines that can help you choose equipment as well.

For example, Amazon.com lists the following and more magazines as a result of search for "DVD" in the magazines section:

* DVD ETC. Magazine* DVD GUIDE (features movie release and other related information)

As mentioned, much of the likes of Sound & Vision have great reviews of available DVD technology.

Also, you might like to explose some of the online news sources for DVD technology. The best part of these sources is that many of them are free (despite having great content) and they're mostly up to date.
