DVD DVI Players
DVD DVI players use the digital visual interface (DVI), the future of video connections. DVI allows video signals to maintain perfect quality from a DVI video source to a compatible display.
However, as this is a new market area, the supply of these products is limited (as there's not enough demand yet). Some of the manufacturers that have DVI-enabled players already include Samsung and V Inc. (Bravo). The supply of these devices will increase as HD television sets become more common. Also, even though these players have DVI connections, their purchase price is reasonable, making them a viable purchase option for HD display owners. Available DVD DVI Players In addition to Samsung and V1, there are available DVI players from, for example, Denon. These manufacturers offer at least the following models: Samsung DVD-HD931 Progressive Scan HD DVD Player These players upconvert standard DVD content to 1080i / 720p 16:9 aspect ratio Video via DVI (Digital Visual Interface). Also features CD playback, with MP3 & WMA compatibility. V Inc. Bravo D1 These Bravo DVI-enabled DVD players offer single chip Media Processor, the ability to playback DVD Video, Video CD, and CD-R/RWs. Plus, these advanced DVD Players also support playback of MP3-CDs, MPEG-4 AVI movies or videos and JPEG picture CDs. Denon DVD 5900 These Denon DVD players with DVI offer a progressive scan DVD-Audio/Video Super Audio CD Player, and they're powered by the DCDi by Faroudja FLI-2310 decoding engine.
