This has been a very successful strategy, making the company a strong contender for the global no. 1 spot in computer sales (mainly against Hewlett Packard and IBM). Dell laptops are the number one brand, with a little help from strong sales in the U.S., Dell's main market. In addition to computers, Dell also manufactures such products as handhelds, printers, and LCD television sets. Dell Computers – Products Lines Dell makes both desktop computers and laptops. The desktop computer line is called “Dimension”, while the laptops are titled “Inspiron”.
