Daikin Industries Introduces New Home Air Purifier

Daikin Industries, Japan's no. 1 industrial air-conditioner maker, has partnered with Japan Tobacco on the design and marketing of the company's latest home air purifier, which is targeted at people who want to remove cigarette smoke and cigaretter odor from the air.

Japanese air purifier makers focus on cleaning cicagette smoke from the air is understandable, as Japan still has relax rules on smoking in public places.

However, according to a study by Japan Tobacco, the trend is towards decreasing smoking among adults, now at an under 30% level.
