Computer Games
Computer games resources include previews of upcoming games, demos of games, reviews of new games, and trailers.
Although there are tens of game development companies, the bigger game companies (developers and publishers) produce much of the bulk of the new games available each year. These companies include: Electronic Arts Microsoft UBI Soft Interplay Atari Matrix Games Rockstar Games The companies own web sites are great places for their games' demo downloads and further information on their upcoming games. Computer Games - Demos of GamesThere are several popular online sites that compile lists of game demos. Demos are a great way to test a game before purchase and downloading them from online resources is fast and easy. Usually, the demos contain one or two of the first levels of the game to test out. Then, to continue playing you have to buy the full version. Instead of demos, some companies offer trailers of their new games. These trailers are very much like trailers of new movies, where the highlights of the movie are shown in a short clip. Some of the sites with demos and trailers require registration, but that is usually free of charge, unless you sign up for premium services at the same time as well. Online sites that have good resources of both demos and trailers include: happypuppy.com gamezone.com gamesdomain.com (a Yahoo! site) pcgameworld.com Computer Games - Reviews of Games Much of the same sites that offer demos and trailers also have "test drive" reviews of the games as well. The high-profile sites get playable previews of the upcoming games as well, so they can have preview reviews on their site as well. In addition to the sites mentioned above on the demos and trailers section, other online sites with a database of reviews include: gamespot.com videogamereview.com pcmag.com (from the publishers of PC Magazine) computerandvideogames.com (from the magazine with the same name)
