CenturyTel broadband offers DSL speeds up to 50 times of traditional dial-up.

The company provides communications services to customers in 22 states. CenturyTel is the nation’s eighth largest local exchange telephone company based on access lines.

CenturyTel is also an up-and-coming provider of DSL services, with currently just over 0.1 million subscribers.

Because CenturyTel is a full-service fixed line telephone company, you can get good discount on your DSL service if you bundle it up with local and long distance phone service.

Available CenturyTel Broadband Packages

There are three packages for DSL from CenturyTel. These packages are:
  • DSL Supreme
  • Downstream speeds up to 1.5Mbps

  • Price: $39.95 per month
  • DSL Regular

The prices and services may vary in different regions. For example, the company reports that upload speeds may vary in Alabama and Missouri from those above.

CenturyTel also offers DSL for businesses.

The packages for businesses are called Business DSL (always on, instant access, 24/7), Priority Business DSL (dedicated connections with 24/7 customer service), and High Speed Dedicated Internet (secure connections, reliable customer service and tremendous flexibility in pricing).
