C Band Satellite TV
C Band Satellite TV is a range of satellite transmission frequencies that television and radio channels use to transmit to full-size satellite dishes. There are more than 250 channels transmitted on a regular basis and another 250 transmitted on an occasional basis for C Band.
This way getting 500 channels is a reality for those with full-sized dishes. In addition to the subscription services, there are reportedly more than 100 free channels broadcast on a regular basis, and another 150 or more channels transmit wild feeds. The wild feeds are unannounced, free satellite transmissions of sporting events, news and syndicated shows. As for the future, C-band 4DTV can tune into four types of satellite transmissions: free, unscrambled analog channels and wild feeds, VideoCipher II Plus subscription services, free DigiCipher II services, and subscription DigiCipher channels.
