BT Broadband Repackaged
BT broadband repackaged products are items that are returned to the manufacturer, inspected and repackaged.
The benefit from these refurbished products is that they offer the same quality of products at a fraction of the cost. There are several reasons why a product could be labeled as refurbished. One of these reasons is that retailers often have a money back guarantee on their products and customers sometimes take advantage of this guarantee. Once these items are returned to the shop, they are further returned to the manufacturer, then inspected fully and tested, and finally repackaged. A product may also be labeled as refurbished if the outer box has been damaged in shipment, and these products are then returned to the manufacturer, where they are checked for functionality . Similarly, a refurbished item can have been returned to the manufacturer because of a slight defect. The part that was defective is then replaced by the manufacturer, tested that the product works according to original manufacturer specifications, and then it is repackaged. Other reasons include a minor cosmetic blemish on the product, the unit may be a demonstration unit. These units are also inspected, tested and repackaged. As law specifies that these factory refurbished products cannot be sold as new, the products are sold as refurbished, with great savings to the buyers. Warranty on these refurbished products will vary but as of June 2008, a standard of minimum of 3 months is usually given, with exceptions being noted on individual products.
