Sprint Broadband Speed Test
You can test your Sprint broadband speed with a Sprint Broadband speed test.
Sprint has three main types of broadband Internet service connections, Sprint FastConnect, Sprint Broadband Direct, and Sprint Vision wireless broadband.
For one, there is the Sprint FastConnect, which is a high speed Internet connection via a DSL line.
Sprint FastConnect comes in many different flavors, with upload ranges from 96Kbps to 640Kbps and download speeds ranging from 256Kbps to 3.0Mbps.
All speeds are verifiable using their FTP speed test servers. To test the connection, follow the link for "Speed Test" at csb.sprint.com/home/local/dslhelp/.
Sprint Broadband Speed Test - Broadband Direct & Wireless
The Broadband Direct is an innovative Internet access solution from Sprint based on a technology called "fixed wireless" - it's not DSL or cable-modem technology.
Sprint has stopped acquiring new customers for the Broadband Direct Internet service, partly due to the limitations of the technology.
If you are an existing customer of Broadband Direct, you can test your connection speed at tespeed.sprintbbd.net.
Sprint also has wireless broadband connections, sold under Sprint PCS Vision brand.
Eventually, the high speed 3G network from Sprint promises wireless broadband speeds of up to 2 megabits per second, though with the technology employed today, you're more likely to see speeds averaging 50 to 70 kilobits per second, with peak speeds of up to 144 kbps.
To test your wireless connection with Sprint wireless broadband, you should be able to use the Sprint DLS speed test.
