Barbie Laptops
Barbie laptops are notebook computers for kids (mainly girls), manufactured by Oregon Scientific, with a licence from Mattel. You can also find Hot Wheels laptops, which are marketed more to boys.
Oregon Scientific is headquartered in Tualatin, Oregon, and was founded in 1991. The company is a division of one of the world’s premier electronics manufacturers, Integrated Display Technology, Ltd. (IDT), based in Hong Kong. The Barbie notebooks are manufactured by Oregon Scientific's Educational Learning division. Mattel had a line of Barbie computers already under development during the year 2000, but its manufacturing partner Patriot Computer filed for bankruptcy in December, 2000, soon after taking orders.
