Audiovox DVD players are manufactured for the portable DVD market (although they've made desktop units in the past).

The company, Audiovox, has origins back in 1965 when the company's product line consisted of aftermarket car stereos. The company has flourished from those humble origins and has attracted significant interest globally, of which Toshiba's 25% investment in Audiovox Communications Corp. is an example.

Audiovox D1500A

This portable Audiovox DVD unit has a 5.8-inch screen, plays DVD-video (single- and dual-layer discs), video CD, audio CD, and Super Video CD formats with the clarity of a 10-bit video digital-to-analog converter. Also features an optical Dolby Digital and DTS digital-audio output for ready connection with receivers equipped with Dolby and DTS decoders. Comes with a wireless remote control, headphones, and an AC adapter.

Audiovox D1501

The D1501 Portable DVD Player is small and light, convient enough for travel use. Its built-in rechargeable battery can play up to 3 hours. The unit has 2 miniplug ports so 2 headphones can be used for shared listening without disturbing others (or you can choose to listen from its built-in speakers).
