ATT Ringtone Services
ATT ringtone (AT&T) services have been offered in co-operation with a company called Moviso for many years. Moviso (previously called Premium Wireless Services) is now a Vivendi Universal company, and is one of the leading providers and innovators of ringtone software and related services.
Because Moviso has been one of the early movers in GSM based ringtones in Northern America, ATT services have benefited from this co-operation. ATT ringing tone service is offered in three basic formats: * Traditional ringtones * Polyphonic ringtones * Prepaid ringtones ATT Ringtone Service – Traditional Ringtones Because the company that offers ATT ringers in co-operation with the company has ties to music industry (Vivendi) you get, on top of the “normal” selection of a wide variety of hits, exclusive ringing tunes. The traditional ring tones are priced at $1.99 each (this price may change at any time), and you have to pay an extra dollar or more for each exclusive ringer. ATT Ringtone Service – Polyphonic Ringtones If your cell phone is a current one, chances are that it can support polyphonic ringers. Many of the cell phones that are polyphonic ringing tone capable are offered under the mMode service label. mMode, is a joint service, which has been developed in co-operation with NTT DoCoMo, the Japanese wireless giant with polyphonic ringer experience with 3G services (FOMA service in Japan). Under this category, you can also get Real Tones, which are the best sounding ringers around, and their pricing reflects this fact. ATT Ringtone Service – Prepaid Ringtones Until lately, the prepaid cell phones did not support many of the features found in standard cell phones, including ringers. However, Moviso has developed a prepaid card for ringers. The ringtone cards are compatible with selected Nokia and Motorola handsets, and are displayed next to the AT&T Go Phone, sold at 7-Eleven stores nationwide.
