Aspire DVD Recorders Aspire DVD recorders are the newest addition to the recordable DVD category. Even the company, Aspire Digital, established in 2002, is a newcomer.
What's interesting about Aspire is that the company's executive team has a background in consumer-priced film scanners. Bringing that expertise to DVD recorders, Aspire Digital seems to have been established with the idea of bringing mass-market pricing to yet another high-priced, high technology market area. As part of its expansion in DVD recorders, Aspire Digital opened in late 2003 its own large manufacturing facility, to produce DVD players and DVD+RW recorders, in China. Features in Aspire DVD Recorders The Aspire recorders integrate DVD+RW technology. This technology has one of the highest backward compatibilities of the available DVD recording formats. Also, unlike DVD-RW discs, the DVD+RW discs are always immediately compatible with read-only equipment such as DVD-Video players when taken out of the recorder, as there is no need to manually finalize the disc before it can be played on other equipment. The Aspire recorders are also excellent DVD players, with progressive scan and wide range of recognized playback formats from VCD to CD-RW and MP3.
