ALLTEL Broadband

ALLTEL Broadband services are available through DSL for residential customers and with T1 lines for businesses.

All in all, the company has about 12 million customers in 26 states for wireless, local telephone, long-distance, Internet and high-speed data services.

The DSL service, with speeds up to 50x faster than dial-up, has so far attracted over 0.2 million customers.

In addition to the DSL services, you may want to keep an eye open for high speed wireless offers from ALLTEL. The wireless network uses technology called CDMA2000 1XRTT, with transfer speeds up to 144 kbps.

Available ALLTEL Broadband Packages

There are two different types of DSL offers available from the company:

DSL
Up to 50x faster than dial-up
No need for a second phone line
Up to five free addresses with 10MB capacity each
Up 10MB of storage space for home web page
DSL Lite
Up to 8x faster than dial-up
all the same great features as standard DSL

Add-ons for the DSL packages include Home Networking products and services, and DSL Protection Plus.

For businesses, there are high-speed T-1 connections as well as business DSL packages.
