17 Laptop

17 laptop with 17 inch screens are increasingly common and in demand due to their better visual experience in comparison to smaller screens.

There are different types of uses for which the larger screen laptops are good for, including movie viewing, graphics work, and laptop gaming.

CNET did a review back in 2005 for 17 inch screen laptops, in which the results where divided according to these lines.

If you are looking for a laptop to use for cinematic experience, CNET promotes the Toshiba Qosmio as the best of the bunch.

Some of the reasons for this include the fact that the notebook computer comes with a range of AV cables that let you record live TV and play it back later.

Similarly, to do graphic design on a 17 inch laptop, or for video producing and for music production on a laptop, CNET recommends the 17-inch Apple PowerBook.

The hardware is geared towards heavy duty graphics work, and connectivity includes FireWire 800 ports.

Finally, for hardcore notebook gaming experience, CNET recommends using Dell Inspiron or XPS ranges of laptops for the purpose.

Of these, the XPS range is primarily aimed at gamers, and this is apparent not only under the hood, but also on the exterior design, with neon blue backlights and futuristic styling.
